"Riverside" is situated on the outskirts of the rural Hamlet of Millhouse, 1.5 miles from Hesket-New-Market, 3 miles from Caldbeck,  approximately 15 minutes from junction 41 of the M6, mid point as the crow flies between Keswick and Carlisle, and central to Penrith, Cockermouth and Wigton, all within a 30 minute journey.  The nearest Lakeland Fells, (Carrock, High Pike, Skiddaw and Saddleback)  are only 5 minutes drive up the road, which are popular with walkers who prefer the quietness and discovering virtually un-trodden territory, with no problems parking your car, unlike the mid and southern fells of lake District which are becoming crowded.  There are also foot paths leading from adjacent the site entrance, and from the Hamlet.

Above, Carrock Beck             and to the left, Carrock Fell, which has a summit of 2000ft above sea level.                                         Below, is a shot from Ratten Row above the village of Caldbeck, with High Pike dominating the sky line, and Carrock just behind.

If you would like to know more about Cumbria in General:    visit  http://www.discovercumbria.co.uk/ , (and don't forget to read their reviews on Adult Only Caravan Sites),    then come back and see more of us.

If you,     (like so many other caravaners and motorvaners),     prefer the quietness which "adult only" caravan parks such as "Riverside" can exclusively offer,                                      why not visit:-   www.adultcampsites.com    which is a brand new website set up especially for you.
